Carron Rococo Cast Iron Fireplace Insert
The Carron Rococo Cast Iron Fireplace Insert has it’s own unique style. The spectacularly intricate detail that surrounds the rounded arch demonstrates the highest level of design that can achieved through casting. A hanging fruit design replaces an absent canopy, connecting to stunning detail that flows around the arch’s frame, interrupted only by the presence of a crafted mermaid on either side. A twisted rope effect separates the outer detailing from the insert’s opening, which is covered by an elegantly simple curved ash cover and basket.
High quality materials, years of expertise & knowledge, beautiful design and assured practicality all harmonise together to create Carron’s range of Fireplaces, that will adorn your home for generations to come. Nothing quite beats a roaring fire, housed in an exquisite cast iron fireplace – the look and feel has been the mainstay of homes for over 400 years. Carron fireplaces will take pride of place in any room with unbeatable eminence and style.
Insert fireplaces are so called because they have built-in firebacks and are designed to be inserted into chimney openings measuring approximately 36” x 36” (915 x 915mm) or larger. In appearance, these can be either completely cast or cast with slots for decorative tiles. The former are generally earlier designs whilst cast iron fireplaces incorporating two vertical ceramic panels became particularly fashionable from the mid-1880s onwards.
All Carron gas fires are manufactured in the UK and comply to all CE requirements and British standard BSEN509:2000. They come complete with flame failure device and oxygen depletion system. All gas fires must be fitted by a Gas Safe registered installer.
Take care of your fireplace
To keep your fireplace in prime condition, please follow these simple care instructions:
Full Polish finish:
Keep oiled using a thin coat of a light oil such as 3 in 1 oil. This treatment should be carried out twice a year or as required. Any surface rust should be removed using a fine wire wool and then re-oiled. Avoid exposing the cast iron surface to moisture.
Coat with an iron paste and buff up to enhance the finish of your fireplace. Do not use spray polish or any other method of cleaning than above. Cast iron is a natural material, which is subject to minor imperfections and should be considered part of its characteristic.
