With its restrained elegance reminiscent of the late Edwardian era, the Alexandra Insert is a beautiful cast iron fireplace. Finished in your choice of Matt Black, Highlight Polished or Fully Polished, the design incorporates authentic hand-cast detailing and a graceful curving arch. The Stovax Alexandra Insert Fireplace does not have a Gas version.

Stovax have designed the Alexandra’s ashpan cover to reflect the embellishment incorporated into the fireplace. This cover will hide the ashpan (if used).

Fireplace Inserts

Insert fireplaces are so called because they have built-in firebacks and are designed to be inserted into chimney openings measuring approximately 36” x 36” (915 x 915mm) or larger. In appearance, these can be either completely cast or cast with slots for decorative tiles. The former are generally earlier designs whilst cast iron fireplaces incorporating two vertical ceramic panels became particularly fashionable from the mid-1880s onwards.
